Lot 1221 1855-C. NGC graded AU-58.Rich golden toning on both sides and sharply struck for this rare issue. The surfaces show a few minor obverse scratches otherwise this one would grade MS-63. Boldly struck and rare, with a modest mintage and not many are known that can even approach the quality and high grade of this illustrious coin. Only 3,677 struck.
