Lot Description

The San Francisco Mint's first-year Barber half dollar issue was saved in far fewer numbers than its Philadelphia Mint counterpart. With most examples of the 1892-S slipping quietly into circulation and remaining there until worn out and/or lost, the opportunity to acquire this scarce Choice AU survivor deserves serious consideration.
