Lot Description

An NGC-certified alternative to the PCGS-graded coin offered above, and an equally desirable About Uncirculated survivor of this legendary key date Morgan dollar issue. Lightly toned surfaces are dressed in delicate silver-olive patina. Plenty of mint luster remains to shine forth nicely as the coin rotates under a light. We note only a trace of high point rub and a touch of light friction overall to confirm the AU-50 grade from NGC, but the overall detail remains suitably sharp. Free of all but wispy marks, there is much to recommend this coin to Morgan dollar specialists who still need to represent the challenging 1893-S in their set.
