1785 Nova Constellatio Copper. Crosby 4-D, W-1910. Rarity-4+. CONSTELLATIO, Pointed Rays. AU-50 (PCGS). Handsome golden-brown and autumn-orange patina engages the viewer from hard, satiny surfaces. Considerable evidence of die erosion is noted around the obverse border, although both sides are well struck with universally bold detail throughout the design. Superior quality and eye appeal for this particular Guide Bookvariety of the Nova Constellatio copper, this impressive AU would do equally well in a type or variety set. PCGS# 813.
