- 1788 Connecticut Copper. Miller 2-D, W-4405. Rarity-1. Mailed Bust Right. VF-35 (PCGS). Medium rose-brown surfaces with definitive olive highlights. Obverse with planchet cutter lip at bottom below effigy from 5 o'clock to 8 o'clock, faint old scratches in field near TOR visible only under magnification, reverse aligned about 160 degrees, planchet flaw, as struck, on Liberty's shield, rim tight to tops of ET, Liberty's head, and the L following. All told, a Connecticut copper with solid in-hand eye appeal. PCGS# 397.
