- Toned with exquisite purple and teal-blue over lustrous surfaces. The reverse is much lighter with antique-gold colors around the rim. Boldly struck as typically seen for a Philadelphia Mint Barber quarter of this era, but extraordinarily well preserved with nary a nick or mark to be found when examined. Of all the 11,100,000 Barber quarters struck at the Philadelphia Mint in 1898, this is one of the finest seen by NGC.<p>
