- Description du lot
- An attractive steel-gray specimen with varied golden-gray highlights in the protected areas. Evenly worn but pretty much mark-free, whether under magnified scrutiny or not. The 1914 date wins the low-mintage sweepstakes in the Barber half dollar series with a production run of 124,230 pieces; indeed, it’s the lowest mintage 20th-century half dollar issue of any design type, and you must go back to the low-mintage era of 1879-1890 to find a smaller mintage figure in the denomination. Aesthetically and physically sound throughout, this could be the opportunity a patient Barber half dollar specialist has been waiting for. PCGS #6530
