Lot Description

<strong>Obv:</strong> The same portrait that the Mint adopted for regular issue Liberty Head nickel production in 1883, with the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around the border and the date 1882 below. <strong>Rev:</strong> A wreath of corn and cotton encircles the Roman numeral V with the motto IN GOD WE TRUST inscribed along the upper border. A smartly impressed, lightly reflective specimen with some semblance of cameo contrast between the fields and devices. There are no marks of consequence, although an obverse carbon spot at upper right serves to limit the grade.
