Description du lot

A lustrous GEM that displays a soft golden iridescent toning. The strike is generally bold throughout, save for the central band on the reverse, which is not split but very pleasing overall. PCGS 1, NGC 3. There has not been one of these sold since October 2011, where one sold for $2,128. The sole PCGS coin has never sold in auction, but Collectors Universe suggests a value of $5,000. Worthy of a very strong bid from the specialist looking for a SUPERB example of this early date Mercury dime. Cert. Number 629209-004 PCGS # 4920.00
