1852-C Liberty Head Half Eagle. Winter-1. EF-40 (PCGS). CAC. This boldly toned olive-khaki example retains suitably bold detail for a lightly circulated half eagle from this challenging Southern coinage facility. With richly original surfaces and strong eye appeal, this a particularly appealing EF survivor from a mintage of 72,574 pieces that would do equally well in a mintmarked type set or a specialized Southern gold cabinet.
