Lot Description

Nicholas Jackson Collection. Overton-102 (R.4), the "1811/10" obverse (improperly attributed by PCGS as O-101). The forecurl is well separated from Liberty's forehead and on the reverse, "I" is centered a little right of the "T" in STATES above. Very nicely defined and likely taken off of somewhat middle-state dies, many stars stretch toward the rim. A mixture of sunrise-gold and more predominantly some lavender-grey show throughout, beneath a curiously hazy layer of patina.
