- 1778 Machin's Mills Halfpenny. Vlack 13-78B, W-7840. Rarity-5. GEORGIVS III. VG-8. 101.85 grains. Deep golden-tan surfaces. Fairly bold at the centers for the grade, weak at the rims, especially on the reverse. Faint old X scratch and some pits at the center of the obverse, reverse pitting near the rim at 8 and 10 o'clock. A scarce variety in all grades. PCGS# 466.
