- Die State 104.1. A moderately scarce die pairing of the 1810-dated half dollar issue, and this is the CC#2 specimen as listed in the Spring 2025 revision to Stephen J. Herrman's Auction & Mail Bid Prices Realized for Bust Half Dollars. Undeniably original surfaces are dressed in warm mauve-gray patina with intermingled powder blue and reddish-gold highlights at the peripheries. The strike is fairly well centered and strongly executed, the surfaces impressively smooth with nary a detracting blemish to report. Even the most discerning type collector or advanced Bust half dollar enthusiast will find much to admire in this premium near-Gem.
