Lot Description
1863 Seated Liberty Half Dollar. Proof-64 (NGC). Varied gold, rose, and neon blue highlights enrich the eye appeal of this broadly toned half dollar. One of just 460 proofs of the date produced while the Civil War waged in and around Pennsylvania; this figure is the lowest proof mintage in the series after 1858. A lovely coin that should attract strong bids from those who appreciate naturally toned 19th century silver coinage.
