1904 Barber Half Dollar. Proof-65 (PCGS). This originally and vividly toned beauty reveals the most intense red, gold and blue undertones as the surfaces dip into a light. Indirect viewing angles reveal bolder charcoal-olive, russet and pearl gray patina that is more mottled in distribution on the obverse. Universally brilliant in finish with a razor sharp strike, this is an uncommonly well preserved survivor from a mintage of 670 Proof half dollars of this date.
