- THE GEORGE SCHWENK COLLECTION An attractive GEM example of this early date. A rich satiny mint brilliance glows vividly on both sides highlighting iridescent peripheral toning. Much of the design elements display crisply defined devices; just a touch of weakness at the head and shield keep it from a Full Head designation. The surfaces are very clean and free from distracting marks or ticks of any kind. Quite challenging any finer, in any designation. PCGS 85, NGC 50, CAC 8. There are four in MS65+. The last one to sell in auction realized $2,040 in April 2021 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $2,500. No MS66 example of this date has sold since April 2016. This coin is certainly going to attract strong bidding from collectors of this wonderfully challenging series. Cert. Number 43893388 PCGS # 5722
