Losbeschreibung: Despite its common-date status and mintage of just over six million coins, the 1882-O is anything but common when the DMPL designation is the focal point. As reported by Wayne Miller in his celebrated <em>Morgan & Peace Dollar Textbook</em>, "Most specimens are cameos, with frosty devices but with fields that are not deeply mirrored." This notable exception shows stronger field to device contrast that typical of the issue and readily upholds the validity of the Deep Mirror Prooflike designation from PCGS. It is fully untoned with a sharp strike and elegant surfaces. An underrated strike and condition rarity for the advanced Morgan dollar enthusiast.
