1860-O Liberty Seated Half Dollar. WB-101. Type I Reverse. MS-65 (NGC). A satiny Gem with bold luster and a pleasing array of deep crimson, neon blue, and golden orange at the peripheries. Sharply struck and aesthetically appealing. Far scarcer in the Gem category than its mintage of nearly 1.3 million pieces suggests; much of the mintage saw heavy duty in the channels of commerce in and around New Orleans. Choice for the grade.
