Lot Description

A Condition Census piece, far less common than the R.1 1811/10 O.101.  A gossamer blanket of pale gold toning showcases full cartwheel luster.  The surfaces display no marks to indicate the coin ever circulated.  I share the consignor’s understanding that this is a new entrant to the scant population of high-grade O.102s.  Its quality and importance will not be overlooked by advanced die variety collectors. Estimate: $5,500 and up
