1881 Trade Dollar. Proof-10 (PCGS). Probably the lowest grade 1881 trade dollar that this cataloger (Jeff Ambio) has ever handled, the proof only status of this issue is all that allows us to identify this as a circulated specimen striking. All major devices are well outlined, and otherwise light-gray surfaces are enhanced by splashes of rose-apricot patina in isolated areas.
