1841 Braided Hair Cent. N-5. Rarity-3. MS-65 BN (PCGS). Beautiful antique copper brown with incredibly serene surfaces throughout. Sharply struck with excellent definition of the central motifs and most star centers complete. Among the finest known for the die marriage, and featuring an impressive provenance, a paper envelope from the personal collection of J.R. Grellman includes a notation that this coin is tied for CC#3 for the 1841 N-5 variety. Noyes Die State C/C. PCGS# 1832. NGC ID: 2267. Provenance: From the Catherine Bullowa Moore Collection.
