Lot Description

Near-fully lustrous surfaces are softly frosted in texture with pretty iridescent pinkish-russet patina engaging the peripheries. Alone among 1928-dated issues in the Walking Liberty half dollar series, the 1928-S is scarce to rare in the finest circulated grades and more challenging to collect than the 1927-S. This piece offers particularly desirable Choice AU preservation, for the vast majority of survivors of this issue are well worn from extensive commercial use.
