1823 Matron Head Cent. Unofficial Restrike. N-3. Rarity-2. Noyes Die State A. Copper. AU-58 BN (NGC). Attractive toning of chocolate-brown throughout and reasonably bold. Moderate die rust with some peripheral scrapes in the dentils. Struck before the reverse die developed the bisecting crack. Nice surfaces overall and good eye appeal.
