1838-O Seated Liberty Dime. No Stars. AU-55 (NGC). Alone among mintmarked issues in the brief No Stars Seated Dime series of 1837-1838, the 1838-O is also important as the first New Orleans Mint delivery of this denomination. This essentially untoned, silver-gray survivor is sharply defined in the absence of all but light wear. Wispy abrasions include a faint graze in the right-obverse field that is easily overlooked at most angles.
