1741-BB Sou Marque. Strasbourg Mint. Vlack-253a, var. Stop After SIT. AU-55 (PCGS). 35.0 grains. A well struck piece, although crumbling and die rust obscure some of the finer detail around the obverse periphery. Planchet lightly flawed, to no great detriment, the surfaces free of troublesome marks with handsome toning in original pewter and pale olive-gray. Full silvering. Provenance: From the Sydney F.
