Lot Description

1858-S Seated Liberty Quarter. Briggs 2-B. EF-45 (PCGS). This is a very nice EF representative of a rare, conditionally challenging San Francisco No Motto Quarter. Overall bold definition remains to both sides, the surfaces of which are originally toned in warm lavender-gray patina. More direct angles also reveal vivid orange-apricot undertones, but not even close inspection calls forth a noteworthy abrasion. A strong candidate for inclusion in a Registry Set of the extremely challenging Seated Quarter series.
