1936-D Buffalo Nickel. FS-901 (FS-019). 3 1/2-Legged. EF-45 (PCGS). The present sale notwithstanding, this is an elusive Buffalo Nickel error in all grades that becomes progressively rarer as one approaches the Mint State threshold. Uncs are virtually unknown. An original EF with plenty of sharp definition to report, the surfaces also passed through circulation without acquiring any worrisome blemishes. Light olive-gray patina to both sides, the toning a bit bolder over the left half of the reverse.
