1800 Capped Bust Right Eagle. Taraszka-23, BD-1, the only known dies. Rarity-3+. AU-55 (NGC). Deeply lustrous orange gold with superior eye appeal and great in-hand quality. The strike is bold and the surfaces are mark-free to the unassisted eye. Low magnification reveals some scattered marks, but again, nothing to put off potential bidders. Die cracks at LIBERTY and the peak of her cap. From a modest mintage for the date of 5,999 pieces. Choice for the grade and certain to bring strong bidding activity from type coin specialists and early eagle fanciers alike.
