FROM THE BIG CYPRESS COLLECTION Ex. D.L. Hansen Collection, as noted on the insert. A lovely Condition Census B-3, tied for fourth highest graded based on the Rea, et al Condition Census. Struck from a heavily clashed and cracked late state of the dies, this coin has a really neat look. Despite these mint made striking anomalies, the details are generally crisp and bold throughout. A distinctive, flashy luster comes to the fore when you rotate the surfaces in a light. The light dove-pewter gray patina comes to life thanks to the underlying silvery brilliance. Some minor marks are seen with a glass, but they have minimal impact on the nice visual effect. PCGS 17, NGC 13. The most recent example sold nearly half a decade ago!
