- Description du lot
- Rarely offered Choice Uncirculated quality for this conditionally challenging San Francisco Mint half eagle, this is actually the finest certified 1910-S that we have handled in recent decades. Fully lustrous with a softly frosted texture, both sides display richly original color in a stunning blend of pinkish-apricot, rose-gold and powder blue colors. Uncommonly smooth for the assigned grade, an impressively sharp strike overall adds to this coin's appeal.<p>A rare coin in all Mint State grades, the 1910-S ranks sixth of 24 Indian half eagle issues in terms of total number of Uncirculated coins believed extant. Examples above the MS-62 level, as here, are particularly elusive and eagerly sought by advanced gold enthusiasts.
