Coal-grey dominates the appearance except for the six-pointed star, which emergences from the darkness with glowing smoke-salmon hue. Pinpoint details speak to the proof striking and as is often the case for silver 3-cent proofs, some cameo effect can be seen throughout, subdued a bit by the dense patina.
