1876 Octagonal 25¢. BG-778. Liberty Head. Rarity-7-. MS-63 PCGS. OGL. Dies heavily clashed, particularly on the obverse. The highly lustrous and boldly prooflike deep golden surfaces call to mind a finer grade overall. The obverse is two-toned with deep gold to the right and rich sky-blue to the left. One of the Baby Head varieties. An aesthetically appealing example of a rare variety. Housed in an old-style green label PCGS holder with frame. Maker: Unknown Maverick from worn and retooled Nouizillet-Gray dies. Edge: Plain. Die Alignment: 360 degrees or medal turn. Die State: only known state.
