1866 Shield Nickel. Rays. MS-65 (NGC). A brilliantly frosted sheen of soft rose-golden and sky-blue toning has accumulated on the obverse and reverse of this conditionally challenging representative of the issue. Neither side offers an individually mentionable distraction, however there is an as-made die crack that circles portions of the legend on the reverse. A key date to the series.
