Losbeschreibung: Lot 414 1854 N-28 R5 Repunched 18 PCGS graded AU53.Glossy light to medium brown with a splash of darker reddish chocolate brown toning at 185 and another at the O in ONE. Other than the two stains this cent is nearly flawless, but the stains certainly catch your eye. The only contact mark is a faint, very light vertical scratch on the neck above the 8. EDS, die state a. The fine diagonal die lines at TES are clear and all the other early die lines are visible. Sharp doubling shows on many of the devices on the reverse. Our grade is EF45, tied for CC#5 in the Grellman census. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
