1871-S Liberty Head Quarter Eagle. MS-63 (PCGS). Pale flint gray mingles with dominant patina in light golden-rose. A sharply struck example with billowy mint luster and very smooth surfaces at the assigned grade level. Conditionally rare for a heavily circulated San Francisco Mint quarter eagle issue with just 22,000 pieces produced, this inviting Choice example belongs in another advanced collection of Liberty Head gold coinage.
