1883/2 Shield Nickel. FS-302. MS-64 (NGC). CAC. A beautiful coin irrespective of variety, both sides exhibit vivid reddish-gold peripheral toning that gives way to softer powder blue and pastel lilac iridescence toward the centers. Highly lustrous and satiny throughout, razor sharp striking detail is also seen from the rims to the centers. FS-302 is one of the boldest overdates for the 1883 Shield nickel, here offered in rare, premium Choice Mint State quality. Provenance: From the Q. David Bowers Collection.
