1858 Pattern Flying Eagle Cent. Judd-193, Pollock-236. Rarity-5. Proof-63 (NGC). The obverse design is the same that the Mint used to strike regular issue 1858 Flying Eagle Cents of the Small Letters hub type. On the reverse, an oak wreath encircles the denomination ONE CENT with a broad ornamental shield at the top. An olive sprig and bundle of three arrows are bound at the base of the wreath. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge.<br />     A fully impressed specimen with warm tan-rose color to both sides. Solid Choice quality with only a few trivial blemishes scattered about, none of which are worthy of individual mention.
