- 1834 Capped Bust Dime. JR-4. Rarity-3. Large 4. MS-61 (NGC). A solid BU example of this scarcer die marriage for the 1834 dime, both sides evidence bold to sharp striking detail from the rims to the centers. Moderately toned in silver-copper patina that is boldest around the peripheries. Quite smooth overall, yet muted in the luster category to explain the MS-61 designation from NGC.
