A coin with eye appeal and desirability far superior to what one would expect even at the coveted Proof-65+ grade level. Both sides are beautifully and originally toned, the obverse especially vivid and dressed in a bold blend of iridescent champagne-pink, cobalt blue and steel-olive. Charcoal-mauve dominates on the more reserved reverse, on which side it is joined by blushes of cobalt blue and steel. Highly reflective in finish with a razor sharp strike, this is one of the more attractive survivors from a mintage of 846 Proofs for this early date Barber quarter issue that we have offered in recent memory.
