1799 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. BB-161, B-11. Rarity-3. Bowers Die State III. AU-55 (PCGS). Secure Holder. An original Choice AU with ample sharpness of strike, both sides are toned in a mostly even pewter-gray shade. Mottled olive-copper highlights are noted, however, but only really on the reverse. With no worrisome abrasions are glints of vibrant luster shining forth at more direct angles, this is clearly a superior-quality early Dollar at the upper reaches of circulated condition. Very nice!
