This is a simply beautiful Gem with expertly preserved surfaces and delicate pale gold toning that allows ready appreciation of a sharply cameoed finish. The frosted, alabaster-white devices are pleasingly contrasted against a backdrop of deeply reflective, watery fields. A fully struck specimen from a reduced Civil War era Proof mintage of just 460 coins.
