1848 Liberty Seated Quarter. Briggs 1-A. Repunched Date. MS-62 (NGC). Deep silver gray centers give way to a rich display of rich lilac and blue that deepens toward the rims. Date noticeably repunched, first date entered too far left, then corrected; all 1848 quarters show repunching at the date to one degree or another. Variety with tiny round hole at top of leftmost vertical stripe in the reverse shield.
