1875 Octagonal 50 Cents. BG-933. Rarity-5. MS-62 (PCGS). OGH--Second Generation. 1833 Capped Bust Quarter. B-2. Rarity-2. MS-65 PL (NGC). Reflective fields surround the satiny devices of the Indian's head and surrounding stars. As expected the wreath show evidence of the "ghosts" caused by the obverse stars in opposition to areas on the wreath. On the obverse, the prominent dentils have earned the name of the "bed of spikes" variety the lower group of these actually punctures the digits of the date and a couple of the stars. During the period these were coined, the Secret Service of the United States was attempting to shut down these manufacturers, finally accomplished by 1882 although sporadic issues appeared even later.
