1892 Barber Half Dollar. Proof-65 Cameo (PCGS). Handsome peripheral toning to both sides, the most vivid and varied colors reserved for the obverse. Untoned centers allow ready appreciation of a boldly cameoed finish that further enhances already strong eye appeal. The highest mintage Proof Barber half dollar with 1,245 pieces produced, the first year status of the 1892 also makes this a perennially popular issue for specimen type purposes. The present Gem is finer than the typically offered survivor in the Proof-60 to Proof-64 grade range. PCGS# 86539. NGC ID: 24NU.
