Lot Description

1710-AA French Colonies 30 Deniers, or Mousquetaire. Metz Mint. Vlack-8. Rarity-2. MS-62 (PCGS). 30.86 grains. Satiny steel-gray surfaces exhibit soft luster and pale champagne-gold iridescence. Heavy die crack through ENIERS, the AA mintmark, and PIECE D on the obverse, the reverse with a crack atop XIIII, heavy raised die rust lumps at NAV. Pleasing to the eye and among the half dozen finest examples of the issue seen thus far by PCGS.
