Lot Description

1857 Liberty Quarter Eagle. MS-64 (NGC). Boldly struck on all devices with the fields showing virtually no disturbance beyond a few light ticks from bag handling. Lustrous and appealing for the orange-gold color and satin smooth fields. Although a prolific issue, not many survive so well preserved as most display more signs of handling. One of the finest grades obtainable for the date.
