- Lot Description
- 1803 Draped Bust Cent. S-258. Rarity-1. Noyes Die State B. Small Date, Large Fraction. MS-62 BN (NGC). Glossy golden tan with underlying rose frost and lively surface luster. A faint old scratch at the L in LIBERTY is the only mark worthy of mention. Die clash at Liberty's chin from the reverse wreath, diagnostic arcing obverse die crack from rim upward through the 1 in the date and then in a broad arc to the rim at 9:00, reverse crack at top of D in UNITED. An undeniably choice example for the grade and date combination, and a coin that would do justice to any burgeoning large cent set or advanced type collection.
