VAM-4, Top-100 and a "WOW!" variety since in actuality, the whole left silhouette has been doubled in erratic manner. VAM calls it "the Number One doubled die obverse in the Morgan dollar series." That said, it is truly elusive in any grade and: 52 graded AU-55, 17 higher at PCGS. This is a reasonably smooth example showing light wear and some almond-grey within the fields that helps to subdue some of the tiny circulation marks scattered throughout.
