The grade surely has to be considered optimistic, especially so close to the "gem" level (MS-64+). Mundane as usual in terms of sharpness, the strike leaves Liberty's face a little flat and has imparted but average luster throughout. Perhaps of more importance to the grade is the presence of many small, scattered marks and one notable, blunt contact mark on the reverse, toward the lower left.
