1878/6 Octagonal 25 Cents. BG-799G. Rarity-5. MS-63 (PCGS). OGH--Second Generation. Olive-khaki on the obverse while the reverse shows russet-copper hues. Intact mirror fields enhance the engravers designs. Apparently Mohrig added the large pellet to the 6 in the date to create the appearance of an overdate, this revision also caused the die to fail quickly, creating more rarities for collectors to find. Impressive quality for the modest grade assigned, and likely to present an opportunity for the astute collector.
